Hosting a Global Ministries Fundraiser on Facebook!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Hosting a fundraiser for Global Ministries on Facebook can be a fun and easy way to support the work of Global Ministries, mission co-workers, and the ministries of international partner churches and programs. Some Global Ministries supporters just like you have done Facebook fundraisers for Global Ministries to great success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you start a fundraiser, Facebook will automatically input text for the title and description of the fundraiser, but we recommend that you edit it to make it your own! Here is some suggested language if you\u2019re not sure where to start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Title: Support Global Ministries and international partners<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Text: Please join me in supporting the work of Global Ministries, an organization that means a lot to me. Global Ministries works with partner churches and programs all over the world that help families and communities in healthcare, increasing access to education, building wells, addressing climate change, caring for refugees, strengthening church leaders, preventing human trafficking, and so much more. Whether you donate $5 or $100, you are sharing in the Global Ministries vision that all of God\u2019s people and creation share in God\u2019s abundant life. Thank you!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re accessing Facebook on your computer, you can start a fundraiser for Global Ministries through the Global Ministries Facebook page<\/a> and click the button that says \u201craise money.\u201d If you\u2019re accessing Facebook through a mobile device, be sure to search for \u201cGlobal Ministries (Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ)\u201d when selecting the nonprofit you would like to support and start at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GoodSearch <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GoodSearch<\/a> <\/strong>is a search engine that donates a portion of their income from advertisements to charities.  To get started, simply go to GoodSearch<\/a> and sign up.  It will show that you are supporting \u201cGlobal Ministries \u2013 Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ.\u201d This small change helps Global Ministries walk with international partners as we work together in growing life-giving ministries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make GoodSearch your default search engine, we suggest saving the GoodSearch page \u2013 http:\/\/www.goodsearch.com\/?charityid=847213<\/a> \u2013 as one of your favorites on your internet browser\u2019s homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GoodShop<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can also support \u201cGlobal Ministries \u2013 Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ\u201d as you shop on GoodShop<\/a><\/strong>, which donates up to 20% of your online purchases to the work of Global Ministries.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make things even easier, Goodshop now has a browser extension called \u201cGumdrop\u201d.<\/a> Gumdrop will alert you to deals as you visit your favorite online retailers and automatically donate a part of your purchases to Global Ministries. Just look for the pink gumdrop to see which stores are participating as you are shopping online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thrivent<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Global Ministries is now eligible to receive gifts through the Thrivent Choice program! This program encourages benefit members to recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes an amount of its charitable grant funds. Also, Thrivent members are able to give a personal  donation to the organization through their Thrivent accounts. eBay<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

eBay for Charity makes it easy for you to support Global Ministries when you are buying and selling on eBay.  Through this link<\/a> you can choose to donate a percentage of each sale to Global Ministries.  So you can clean out the attic or start a side business, and support life-giving ministries through Global Ministries at the same time! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you use eBay to purchase items, you can add a donation to Global Ministries with your purchases during checkout when you pay with your PayPal account.  Be sure to mark Global Ministries (listed as Division of Overseas Ministries) as one of your favorites on eBay<\/a>, so Global Ministries will show up on your checkout page. DOM and Wider Church Ministries (WCM) are the two fiscal entities making up Global Ministries.  Revenue through the eBay for Charity is allocated equally between DOM and WCM for the work of Global Ministries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PayPal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Through the PayPal Giving Fund, you can use your PayPal account to support Global Ministries.  Whether you or your business prefers to make donations through PayPal, you can use this link<\/a> to support the work of Global Ministries (listed as Division of Overseas Ministries – DOM) while using your PayPal account.  DOM and Wider Church Ministries (WCM) are the two fiscal entities making up Global Ministries.  Revenue through the PayPal Giving Fund is allocated equally between DOM and WCM for the work of Global Ministries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matching Gifts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double or even triple your donation’s value. Simply check with your personnel\/human resources offices to find out if your gift can be matched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember that while many employer matching gift programs do not double donations to houses of worship, many of them will match gifts to programs like Global Ministries that provide services on a nondiscriminatory basis to the greater community. Global Ministries does not limit services based on religion, race, sex, sexual orientation, age, nationality, or disability status. If your employer has questions regarding the work of Global Ministries, please have them contact the Global Ministries Office of Resource Development (Gifts@dom.disciples.org<\/a> or 317-713-2555).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have determined that your company matches donations to Global Ministries, simply obtain the appropriate matching gift verification form, and submit it to Global Ministries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicle donation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Donate just about any type of vehicle through Charitable Adult Rides and Services, Inc.(CARS) and show your support of Global Ministries! It is quick and easy, and in addition to supporting the work of Global Ministries, it is tax-deductible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can submit the online form below, or you can call 855-500-RIDE or 855-500-7433.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you have called or filled out the form, a Vehicle Donation Representative will schedule a pickup that is convenient for you as well as provide you with confirmation of your donation. Your vehicle will be picked up within several days of contacting them.  Even if your car hasn\u2019t run in years, don\u2019t worry… they are equipped for towing too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
