Reverend Charles Sangree attended Union Theological Seminary and was an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ in the states of New York and Massachusetts. Elizabeth Sangree was a registered nurse and very active in her husband&#8217;s churches. Both demonstrated their love of Christ and dedication to spreading the Gospel throughout their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Reverend Charles and Mrs. Elizabeth Sangree\u2019s interest in southern Africa was piqued during a visit to Malawi where they were struck by the warmth of the people amidst great need. They were visiting their son David and his wife Laura who were serving in the Peace Corps in Malawi for two years.
