Most of the time, sending materials is problematic, costing more than the items are worth in shipping and in customs fees. Financial gifts are the most helpful way to assist global partner churches and programs, because financial gifts allow the partners to purchase what they most need.<\/p>\n<p>There are, however, a few partner programs that are able to accept material shipments.\u00a0 Each of the partner programs listed below has specific requests and shipping instructions.\u00a0 Please contact Global Ministries Resource Development Office at <a href=\"mailto:gifts@dom.disciples.org\">gifts@dom.disciples.org<\/a> or 317-713-2555 for more details and for packing instructions and shipping addresses.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"luci\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"lights\"><strong>Luci Lights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-38673 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lucilight-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lucilight-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lucilight-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lucilight-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lucilight-2.jpg 1342w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Global Ministries offers a low-cost and highly practical opportunity to provide light to global partners.\u00a0 Luci lights are a low-cost item that can be used in a variety of ways throughout the daily lives of global partners.\u00a0 Sending materials to global partners can quickly become very expensive, because of shipping costs.\u00a0 However, Luci lights are lightweight and compact, making it simple to include a bundle of lights with traveling mission delegations and Global Ministries staff.<\/p>\n<p>Global Ministries was introduced to Luci solar lights in 2015, and upon request of partners in the Congo, Global Ministries sent the first shipment of lights shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>Luci lights, made by MPOWERED, Inc. are inflatable, lightweight, and affordable light sources that can emit light for up to 12 hours on each charge. \u00a0Many of Global Ministries partners work in communities that have limited or no access to electricity.\u00a0 Luci lights can be used by Global Ministries partners in hospitals and health care clinics, in businesses run through microcredit programs, by refugees and internally displaced persons in refugee camps, or by children working on homework or playing.\u00a0 Luci lights provide partners with a light source that is more reliable, lightweight, compact, and powered by clean, renewable energy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$15 to Global Ministries provides one Luci inflatable, solar light.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To provide Luci solar lights for global partners you may\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/donate.globalministries.org\/onlinegiving?donateTarget=Luci%20Solar%20Lights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">use our online giving page\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0or you can send a check with Luci Lights in the memo line to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Global Ministries<br \/>\nResource Development<br \/>\nP.O.
