As a Church committed to sharing the gospel through teaching, healing, training, and addressing socio-economic issues in the country, the Church of the Disciples of Christ in Congo, through training and orientation projects supported by Global Ministries, organizes training sessions in trades that enable and promote the integration of beneficiaries into society. Additionally, we provide professional development opportunities for church leaders. These include project writing and management, agricultural techniques, and English language proficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-IMG_5983-25-03-24-04-51.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54960\" width=\"456\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-IMG_5983-25-03-24-04-51.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-IMG_5983-25-03-24-04-51-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-IMG_5983-25-03-24-04-51-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 456px) 100vw, 456px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Our first Development Training session in project writing and management was held in Brazzaville. The session aimed to equip church leaders with the knowledge and skills to write and manage projects. It centered around four (4) areas of focus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Proposals for projects\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability for the Church<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Other development and training opportunities include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Agriculture Techniques:<\/strong> Various trainings in agricultural techniques have been organized in Liranga, Pointe-Noire, Loukolela, and Impfondo in various ecclesiastical posts. This enabled the beneficiaries to increase their agricultural yields. Unfortunately, they did not experience a harvest as planned due to recent flooding in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Church Priorities:<\/strong> Given that the training of young theologians and the development of the church remain priorities, we currently have a student in his third year of studies at the Universit\u00e9 Protestante de Brazzaville and a young man who was trained in the English language in Kenya. His advanced English language skills have been very beneficial for the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54961\" width=\"447\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Republic-of-Congo-sewing-trainig-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Learned Professions:<\/strong> Two sewing training centers have been opened, one in Brazzaville and the other in Liranga. Sessions are organized in groups. The interested population is mainly young mothers and widows. The main aim is to extend the project to the remaining ecclesiastical posts and add more sewing machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have received messages of gratitude from the families of medical students in Kinshasa, Jemima Mpetsi Bakaa at \u201cUniversit\u00e9 Simon Kimbangu\u201d and Naomie Bobo Bongonde at \u201cUniversit\u00e9 Libre du Congo\u201d). They express their gratitude to the Church and Global Ministries for the support they consider essential, as without it, it would have been difficult for them to study these past two years. As children of the church, they wish to be actors in the development of the community&#8217;s health sector by putting the knowledge they are acquiring to good use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May the Lord reward all those who spare no effort to show their love and care for people they don\u2019t know. it&#8217;s the greatest proof of love and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We express our gratitude to Global Ministries for its immense support and commitment to the cause of Christ.
